History of the City Church

The City Church is a fusion church between three former churches. Two of of the churches, the Apostolic Church and the Pentecostal Church in Aarhus both have their roots in the revival movement that broke out at the beginning of the 20th century in several places around the world. During the merger in 2010, Frikirken på Runddelen in Risskov also became part of this new church.

We dream of a church that, with the original Christian message from the first century, is relevant in the 21st century – also for your everyday life. Read more about the church and our thoughts and dreams in "Vision and values".

We are a church for all age groups with services on Sunday mornings and children's service most Sundays, but we have many other activities throughout the week. Among other things, there are activities for seniors, teenagers and youth. You can read more under "Curious?" and "Activities" in the bar above.
